About the producer
Vincent Paris
“His potential is admirable,” writes La Revue du Vin de France. “His wines are always pure, precise and unaffected, with good cellaring potential.” Vincent Paris started in 1997 under the watchful eye, and with a little help, of uncle Robert Michel (legend and mentor of Thierry Allemand, among others). He currently owns 10 hectares of vineyards, some bought from his uncle, some inherited from his grandfather. He works these (mainly very old) vineyards very meticulously: he only allows 4 bunches per vine at a time, which naturally increases the concentration in the grapes. He uses indigenous yeasts, never new wood, hardly any sulphur and only does pigeage once a week to prevent over-extraction. His Syrahs can be described as traditional, rich, full and overwhelming, but with the finesse, elegance and cellaring potential that every wine lover hopes for.
