About the producer
Foradori
The Foradori family have been making wines in the region around the town of Mezzolombardo, in the north of Trentino, since 1929, but it was not until Elisabetta took over in 1984 that their wines rose to the absolute top of the region. One of her first decisions was to replant 6 hectares of vineyards with an old clone of the Teroldego grape. She deliberately steered clear of the trend of the 1980s to grow international varieties such as Chardonnay and Merlot. Today, there is no one who handles Teroldego better than she does. Elisabetta continues to reinvent the success of the estate. Since 2002, she has been experimenting with biodynamic viticulture and since 2009, the 28 hectares of vineyards have been fully biodynamically certified. All wines are fermented in Amphora jars of 1000 to 2000 litres, which gives the wines an unparalleled elegance. Foradori's wine style focuses on purity and finesse.
