Riccardo Campinoti, the gifted superstar of Le Ragnaie in Brunello di Montalcino, has founded Poggio Anima in order to be able to indulge his creativity on his second passion, Italian indigenous grapes. The leading idea is to put these indigenous grapes in the foreground by letting them develop in their right birth zone & ideal terroir into a wine that embodies a soul and a vitality and typifies the region of origin. These are not leftover grape juice or bulk wines, no, this is the result of passion and expertise from A to Z. Each wine comes from 1 variety, 1 vineyard and represents 1 region. The search for balance is playfully made clear in their labels by the archangels on the white wines and the fallen angels (demons) on the red.
