Domaine de Villaine Rabourcé 2020 75cl

This unique wine estate is located in Bouzeron, nestled in the Côte Chalonnaise region. This small, sunny valley was planted with vines by the monks of Cluny in the Middle Ages. These are grown exclusively on the slopes, between 270 and 350 metres above sea level. The nutrient-poor, chalky soil allows for precise control of the yield, while a warm microclimate promotes the ripening of the grapes. Due to the very small surface area of ​​the appellation, this estate is considered one of the 'secrets' of Burgundy. Here, the cultivation is completely organic, resulting in natural, delicious wines. Aubert de Villaine, the man at the head of the famous Romanée–Conti estate, bought this estate in 1971, together with his wife Pamela. Eventually, his nephew, Pierre de Benoist, gradually took over the Villaine estate.
