Bodegas Ponce
Juan Antonio Ponce is not an unknown figure in Manchuela/Jumilla (South-East Spain). He obtained his oenology degree at the age of 17(!) and started his own domain at the age of 23. He mainly focuses on local grapes such as Bobal, Moravia gria, Albilla and Manzuela, which he cultivates biodynamically and very naturally and transforms into magnificent, pure, fresh, juicy and above all very tasty wines! We were very surprised by his skills when we tasted the wines of Ponce for the first time. And apparently Luis Gutiérrez (Robert Parker) was too, since the scores and comments are only sky-high and very complimentary for this gentleman. Very happy that we can introduce this newcomer to you!
