About the producer

Almaviva

In 1997, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, and Eduardo Guilisasti Tagle, Chairman of Viña Concha y Toro SA, entered into a partnership agreement to create an exceptional Franco-Chilean wine called Almaviva. Produced under the joint technical supervision of both partners, the first vintage achieved immediate international success upon its launch in 1998. The Château concept was introduced in France in the 19th century as a way to celebrate the creative mastery of Bordeaux winemakers. Almaviva was the first wine in Chile to be created according to this French Château concept, taking into account exceptional terroir, a single bodega and a single technical team - all three of which are exclusively dedicated to the production of a single wine of unparalleled quality and excellence.
