Did you know?
Sgaminegg is an old Slavic term for the stony soil in this area. The vines for this wine are always rooted in pure Opok, slightly higher than most vineyards and therefore cooled by the wind from the nearby Koralpe Mountains. Deeply rooted in the lean, cool stone, the vines develop complex aromas that are present in every Sgaminegg wine."

Region info | This region, also known as Styria, is located in the south-east of Austria, on the border with Slovenia. The vineyards are often on steep slopes. Due to the large difference between day and night temperatures, the grapes can retain their acidity well and the wines are therefore fresh and white. |
