Domaine Robert Chevillon Vieilles Vignes 2019 75cl

This wine estate has been the benchmark for high-quality Pinot Noir from the Côtes de Nuits for five generations. The Robert Chevillon estate owns 13 hectares of its own vineyards, most of which are Premier Cru. Their father Robert retired in 2003, after which his two sons Dennis and Bertrand Chevillon took over the management. All grapes are still picked by hand, and then an even stricter selection follows, so that they only work with the best grapes. Their wines are characterized by a full structure, elegance, lots of fruit and enormous complexity. They prepare their wine in the traditional way with complete destemming, cold maceration, and slow fermentation. The red wines are then matured in barrels for more than 15 to 18 months, of which 30% in new wood.
