About the producer
Bodegas Cachazo
Bodegas Cachazo has been around since the 1960s, located in the highlands of the Rueda region. They focus entirely on the production of quality white wines. The founder Félix was one of the eight founders of the DO Rueda, characterized by vineyards with gravelly soils and sand, with low fertility. This gives the wines a more mineral character and a good acidity. Furthermore, the large thermal exchange of day and night (sometimes up to almost 20 degrees!) gives the Verdejo grape a slower ripening and a very high aromatic load. Their wines are very popular in Spain. For example, the two daughters of the Spanish king Juan Carlos de Cachazo served wines at their wedding. The family business is now in the hands of son Eduardo and daughter Ángela.
