Without taking a subjective or biased position with regard to smooth and young-drinking Bordeaux, it is undeniable that this category of wines often lacks identity and character. Let that not be the case with Xavier, on the contrary! Château Mirambeau-Papin (Bordeaux Superieur) and Château Courrèges (Premières Côtes de Bordeaux) both fall under his all-seeing eye. Both domains are monitored daily with exactly the same desire for quality and know-how from Xavier. On absolutely beautiful terroirs, all planted with old vines of the historical varieties, as well as Petit Verdot!, he produces elegant and recognizable 'old-school' Bordeaux, each of which has a great price/quality ratio.
