About the producer

Château La Nerthe

This wine estate is one of the oldest in the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The castle was built in the first half of the 18th century, but the estate itself dates back two centuries before that. It is a magical place thanks to the cellars that date back to the 16th century. Another special feature is that all 90 hectares of vineyards are located around the castle, which is rare in Châteauneuf. The vineyards have been organically cultivated for a long time with a variety of terroirs, mainly Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache, which provide the wines with tannins of great finesse and great length. In total, they grow 13 different grape varieties, each time on the plots that are most suitable for their pure expression. The wine style of La Nerthe emphasizes elegance, complexity and freshness.
