About the producer
Clos Ibai
Along the Ebro River in Rioja Alavesa, there are an incredible number of vineyards overgrown, abandoned by the children and grandchildren of former winemakers (due to disinterest in working the land). These are old, often walled vineyards with great potential. Clos Ibai is a small project that saves some of these unique vineyards by buying (or renting) them and breathing new life into them by maintaining and cultivating them. Their natural and sustainable working methods, and viticulture adapted to each vineyard, ensure that they can let each terroir speak separately and ensure an enchanting quality in the glass.
