About the producer
Paolo Leo
The province of Puglia is also called the heel of the Italian boot. The landscape of Puglia is mostly flat and is characterized by vast cornfields, olive groves and vineyards. This southern province has many grape varieties that were introduced by the Greeks and other conquerors. Paolo Leo's winemaking history spans five generations of love and passion for Puglia and its wines. The company is located in the heart of Puglia, halfway between the cities of Brindisi and Lecce. The family owns twenty hectares of vineyards. In the eighties Paolo took over the company from his father and built a new winery. Paolo Leo's winemaking philosophy is to work in harmony with nature and intervene only when necessary to ensure that each wine can express its unique personality.
