About the producer
Bera
The Bera family’s wine-growing tradition goes back centuries, but it was not until the late 1970s that they began bottling wines for sale under their own label. In the meantime, their vineyards, which average an altitude of 300 m, spread over an area of 30 hectares, have extended to nearby towns. In the process, they have rebuilt many grape varieties and modernised the winery itself. The soil is light brown, rich in limestone and friable. The texture is predominantly clay loam, which favours water retention, even during the hottest months of the year. The couple Valter and Alida are still at the helm, but a new generation has joined them, their sons Umberto and Riccardo. What is striking is how closely each member of the family works together.
