About the producer

Olivier Leflaive

Domaine Olivier Leflaive, located in Puligny-Montrachet, is generally considered one of the most important and best producers in the Côtes de Beaune. Although the Leflaive family has been present in Burgundy since 1717, Joseph Leflaive was the real founder of the domain in 1905. Since 1984, the brothers Olivier and Patrick have been responsible for its further development. In total, they produce four Grand Crus and five Premier Crus. After several years of experimenting with both organic and biodynamic techniques, the entire estate was converted to biodynamic farming in 1997. First, the wines spend a year in oak barrels, then they are matured for another six months in stainless steel tanks. These wines are the absolute reference and stand for elegance, finesse and a magnificent minerality.
