About the producer
Vigneau-Chevreau
Domaine Vigneau Chevreau has been around since 1875, with the fifth generation currently at the helm. Vouvray always produces a white wine and is made in different types: dry, semi-sweet, sweet, and sparkling. This serious producer makes a classic type of Vouvray, both in the dry and sweeter versions. With full respect for nature, they have been working biodynamically since 1995. The harvest of their 33 hectares of vineyard often only starts here at the beginning to mid-October and ends in mid-November. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand, in several passages, in which the ripest grapes are picked each time. Furthermore, the wines are ideally matured in old caves, carved into the famous Tuffeau rock of the Loire Valley.
