Georges Descombes owns vineyards across several cru areas of Beaujolais. He started in Brouilly and Chiroubles, and later Fleurie, Morgon and Regnie were added. For all his vineyards, Georges owns the terroirs that are always among the most beautiful in their appellation, with vines of 70 years and older. As a result, his wines are always considered to be among the best within each respective cru area. Georges makes fairly compact wines: full, powerful and focused. They are generally somewhat more powerful and fuller than our other grand masters from Beaujolais. Therefore, you can also expect a little more tannins. But rest assured, the cheerful and juicy remains the predominant tone, as well as the well-known small red fruit, such as cherries, berries, strawberries, etc. And you know: drink these wines cool!
